{Phoenix} Thanks for helping out today, Summer.
Xaiyu_Chan: "It was nothing..." she said with a small nod. she took her hands out of her pockets. "Merry Christmas, Nick." she was staring at the watch in her hands, her heart racing as she held it out to him..

Phoenix looks over, and smiles when he sees the watch.
{Phoenix} Oh, what a surprise. I didn't see you leave for this...
He laughs, picking it up and looking at it with a grin on his face. He likes it. "How swell. Grapes."
{Phoenix} I suppose you don't have to spend a day with me to figure that one out, huh?
He chuckles a bit. "Thanks, Summer."

she gave a small chuckle and a nod. "I'm glad you like it..." she was ecstatic. she tucked some hair behind her ear and said quickly, "Y-yeah, so, goodnight, Merry Christmas..." she turned and went back to the room. @/////w/////@;;;;;

Phoenix chuckles, and stands up, suddenly giving you a warm hug.
{Phoenix} Merry Christmas, Summer. Good night.
He playfully ruffled your hair a bit after he lets you go back to the bedroom.

A character bible sheet for my storyboarding class, the adventurous 12-y.o. Indy!
^_^

with this guy, i'm trying to deviate from the typical anime style, gave him more disney-like eyes, and tried a simple nose. the only thing remotely anime about it is the hair i suppose. :/

Nameless - The lineart version from the february sketch. It's a static pose again.. you'll just have to bear with it. Eyes will be CGed, so they're not there yet. I started colouring, but it'll take some time before it is finished :) - may 2004

The publishing house Urania, specialized on a wide variation of card games, published a manga tarot. I got the request to illustrate this deck.

I had to draw all of 78 cards. What a huge amount of work! Mercifully, my ideas didn't run out.^^
By the way, the titles are originally printed in English. The translations are on the left side of the card.

The cards should look like vintage prints. Thus the colour parts are even and partially decorated with patterns. In order to avoid too bright, colorful and mawkish cards, I decided to use only four slightly discreet colours (winered, bottle-green, pale yellow and dark grey-blue) and mixed them and added some pattern.
For the outlines I used a very soft and small pen nib and drew them intensely so that they become more thick. The variation of the thickness of the lines let the drawings look lively and the figures stick out.
I took the style of Kaori Yuki and the ancient eras as examples.

I decided to design the border in Art Deco style. I considered to do it in a baroque or victorian style before, but it would have looked too antiquated, so I let it be. Art Deco was arising about 1910/1920, thus it is characterised by an expressionistic and dynamic form. This style combines the classic, ancient decorations with the modernity.

Im giving critiques for quite a while now and you never had the chance to c&c mine cause i never uploaded art. So i deceided to draw something myself. It started as a sketch (doh) but after thickening some lines it became all lineart-ish. Well i want to have some c&c before im going to color this. Please dont mind the hands since you wont see them in the color version, the orb is going to be pretty bright. Time for revenge, c&c !!
