Mangaworkshop - Amateur manga artists community

FINALLY! It's all finished, and with the help of simply having other artist friends around me at the time to keep me inspired and going ^_^.
This took WAY too long just because of the fact that work was getting in the way, and I'd usually come home EXHAUSTED and too whipped to touch this again.
But I've reached my limit, stopped nitpicking over it, and am saying its done. It's finished before Onna! fest and just waiting to be taken to Staples to get prints made up.<br

Tammy asked me if I was going to sell the original piece.. and I might, depending on my mood. Just have to see if there are any people interested first ;b.
All traditional media... 3h pencil, Speedball super black india ink and brush, on cardstock mounted on hot press illustration board. Dr. Martin dyes, white ink, gold and white paints, conte crayon, vine charcoal, white pastel, and red charcoal *can't remember what its real name is*. Full size is 8.5 x 11 inches, full bleed.
The wall scroll reads Ellis is MINE. And YES, HE is a GUY in a womans kimono ;b.

AAA-LAZEX-disign 2005-10-06 03:29:22 great pencil work I usally never make the time to colour Like this myself, but nou I see what it can become, if I put more time in it, so thanx :_)
konflikti 2005-10-07 23:48:12 Faboulous stuff. Only thing that bothers me is that jawline/lips/nose thing that I can't really follow. Might be a style issue though. With someone who has as refined style as you I feel that I can let it go. ^_^
edragon 2006-03-30 15:39:52 awesome, LOVE the coloring job.

lol got bored while I was babysitting a while back. I think that was the first time I'd used crayons in like ten years xD Somehow I just love the way the lips turned out <3 hehe

I'm dutch, so most of u probably won't know what the saying "geniet maar drink met mate" means :)

It means, Enjoy but drink with discipline.

Thing is, when i put a "n" behind the word "mate",then it becomes "maten", wich means mates in dutch :)

So that would make: Enjoy, but drink with mates xD

He there everyone! I used to be a member here about 3 or 4 years ago, and I'm back (I had to get a new account, too.)

Anyways, this is a picture I did for a roleplaying group I'm in. This is my character, Vahn, a telepath with the ability to manipulate people in their dreams. He works with a team of other "talents" for an organization called Sol.

Let me know what ya think!
Davyn

I finally finished this and I really think I should stick to CG works over traditional works. However, I sort of like both versions but that is only because of how I slaved over coloring the actual artwork using color pencils.

The CG one is much better though.
Shar
not really one of my better drawings , but I just drew it for practice on shoulders and positioning of the arms...
