Ceric's Artwork

Post by cericcalas » Wed Apr 26, 2006 4:33 am

I'm joining the bandwagon, one post, will update when i draw more.

My scanner currently isn't working, so these pictures won't be the best quality at the moment.

Was watching some superhero cartoon with Iron Man, got motivated to draw a dude after I started on Iron Man:

Hopefully I'll have a functional scanner by soon.

It's been a while.

I was browsing through some artwork and found a bunch of painting looking artwork. I wished I could do it but wasn't motivated enough to even try until I was looking at some of my favored MWS member's profiles and came across this one: http://mangaworkshop.net/show.pl?imageid=26189

I've spent several hours trying to figure out how that was done and this is what I've got so far, but I'm hoping someone might be able to guide me a bit.

yeah. i saw def's icon and i was like,
"DEF IS BACK!"
but then i was like. oh. 2006. nice.

and cericcalas, that pic is by TRS. He's professional and only through millions of hours practicing and insane skill was that picture attainable.

I'm well aware it's by TRS -- like I said I was browsing some of my favorite member's profiles. Your comment is all but helpful.

what's with the attitude? he was just pointing something out. there's no reason to get snippy about it.

Agreed. He wasn't insulting you, but merely praising TRS. So chilllll. :)

I was asking for advice on how to improve my art -- instead I get told it would take me an astronomical number of hours to hope for achieving something that good because a professional did it. Not exactly an answer to my request, nor condusive to improvement.

Text can't express tone or you'd know I already am. so anyone of you have any suggestions for improvement?
