So recently got myself a new Wacom tablet and I've been playing around with it.

Stylized sketch of my wife.

And here's a four pack of World of Warcraft avatar busts. Around 20 minutes on each one.

Got bored at work last night so I let another co-worker grace my pencil.

Thanks and yeah steal away! Bamboo Intuos Pro for the tablet.

Check this one out. Obviously a WIP but showing improvement with the tablet work I think.

yeah this is definitely showing improvement on the tablet!
I like the way you work. I think that is useful - with the grey background and then sketching in blue and inking in black. Looks super useful and efficient.

Been away for a bit.

Whipped this bad guy up yesterday. Jason Momoa as Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones.

Little Harley Quinn action anyone?

It took me around six different sketches to finally get the exact pose I wanted. I kicked around with what to do with her legs and her right arm mostly, nailed the face and left arm on the first try.

Here's the finished inks cleaned up in Photoshop to be a flat black and white image.

Normally I don't work much with color, I generally prefer B&W, but I felt this particular piece would be both easy and fun to color. Around four hours total, from original concept sketch to the finished piece you see here. Colored with Copic markers and inked with Prismacolor Premier India ink pens.

So the last month or so I've been pretty active on the art front. Here's a couple more I haven't yet uploaded:

These next two were both done during some down time at work, with Ackbar being shaded at home. Both were requests from co-workers who love Star Wars.

These four are more from my ever going series of World of Warcraft player character avatars, culled from the frothing masses of the official game forums. I've gotten to the point that I can pump these out in around a half hour, depending on how detailed the armor. Seriously, I've done at least a hundred of these things. It's good practice because the different people playing the game have such a wide variety of different looks. I try to change things up with these sketches, even if I don't alter the time frame I spend drawing them much. Things like adding props, weapons, or variations of the general bust pose I use.
