I do not wish to be offensive, but your artworks are all so bland and.. well, all you have is all kept within a box and it just bores me. This "style" that everyone wants to use just annoys me! I hope you can experiment and lead yourself out of the darkness!

The guy running on walls is super cool, I like the blond haired boy after the nerf pics, too.

Eh, sure, why not. You should try to be more specific though.

Ok look, the forum is called "manga workshop" yet.. many people who post there works are all americanized "comic" style, Instead of the japanese "manga" style... Which does piss me off a considerable amount.

With your artworks it is all just americanized boring and bland its not a specific picture its just your whole style, whenever I see it i wish to grab my intestines out of my stomach tie a knot around a pole on top of a tall building then jump off that building.

As for reference.. I would consider the following pictures to be acceptable;

Acceptable? Really dude, and where exactly does your authority on this website to institute anything stem from?

In America, drawing manga is nigh unemployable. Drawing "American" style is his choice, and obviously got him a job. Which most likely pays more than whatever it is that you do. And if you knew anything about art you would realize that concept art takes a hell of a lot my talent that drawing large eyed girl splashing around in bikini's.

Took out your huge images and made them links. Thanks.

Short answer: lol

Actual answer:

So I thought you would actually have some insight when you initially posted, figures you dont. You want me to draw in that one style some people from Japan do which is not even indicative of their art style as a nation (you should read "Monster" which by your definition its not manga as well eventhough its made by a Japanese artist, or the art of Shinkawa and Amano)

Second, thank you for reminding me what I should post on this forum. I guess being a part of it for 8 years has made me forget ... how silly of me to think there are other ways to draw that dont involve 5 year old girls in bikinis with heads bigger than their bodies while they all have the exact same face.

You have no idea what a "manga style" is. Such a style "started" when Tezuka imitated Walt Disney's "American" style of art and proportions in the 60's, so its ironic and wrong of you to think the two are not intrinsically linked. The current art you posted all has one style, no deviation, no changes in structure and nobody looks older than ten years old (oh wait, their boobs are huge! It must mean they're like, 20 years old! ^__^) and as a whole its actually an insult to all the great artists Japan has to say this is what their art looks like.

My pieces have lots of issues, but they all have clear deviations in character styles, facial shapes and uses of color and tone. Also, if I were to pick , my work has more of a European/Asian influence to it than American ... but at this point I doubt you even know what that means.

However, thanks for pointing out that my art probably wont please the pedo lolita animu fanbase, I dont think I care for catering to their needs though.

Also raging spaniard, you need glasses, I'm pretty sure 5 year olds don't have B Cup breasts..

60's?? Kanagaki Robun and Kawanabe Kyosai created the first manga magazine in 1874: Eshinbun Nipponchi. The magazine was heavily influenced by Japan Punch, founded in 1862 by Charles Wirgman, a British cartoonist.

Yes and Pong wasnt the first videogame either, yet it still seen as the most influential. That was my point

Tezuka is the father of modern manga, his style influences modern Japanese art even today and it was based off of American art. This is a fact no matter how many lols or racial slurs you put in your post, sorry kid.
