any suggestions on how to make this look better?

I know the arms look sorta short I figured it was b/c I was trying to draw them in perspective but missed some things which would show that

was thinking I could curve the cuffs on the girls wrists, don't know how to achieve perspective with the guys arm though,

Her arms need to be thicker, her hands need to be bigger, and I think her head is too big.
perspective or not, her arms are still too short.

Her arms do look too short but I would say that her hands and head are fine.

Biggest problem is the hips and anatomy of the body in general. Here's some helplines I drew. Don't take them as some sort of absolute truth but as guidelines to what it maybe should look like.

well, I'd say one or the other. If I put the heel of my hand on my chin the tips of my fingers reach just above my eyebrows. If I put my hand on my cheek so it's edge is at the corner of my mouth (the pinkie is right next to the bridge of my nose) my thumb is in my ear. It doesn't like her hands are big enough to really do this comfortably.
but then, some people have really small hands.. his at least should be bigger.

Yes.

His hands should be bigger.

My girlfriend's hands are small and I can fit them in my hand so try to make his hands about 5 - 20% larger than her hands.

uber good tips y'all ^^

btw, do you think it would be a good idea to just practice drawing those sketches of "wireframe ppl" (IDK what it's really called), like Konflikti drew except with all the lines and bubbles at the joints included

It is really good idea to get familiar with the shapes and how to present them on the paper so that they looks realistic. Stick figures and stuff like that are useful for more complex poses and multiple characters. You don't want to find out that you have messed up the sizes of characters when you're halfway trough with a drawing.

"wireframe"...that's a good name!
anyway, yes the stick figure is awesome. Use it.
I think you've improved.

lol, I just thought of a better name for it though

mannequins, yeah, I think that'll do, but wire-frame still sounds cool

so yeah, lil more done in this one, though I'm feelin' funny about his arms, oh well, suppose I should redraw holding her closer

Wow that is some great improvement ^^ But yeah the arms around give a better feel then how his hands are placed now. Maybe you can replace her eyes a bit to the left (our right) and a bit done while your at it ^^
