Medication is wearing off, finally I can type again!

Post by FirstBorn » Thu Jan 26, 2006 3:38 pm

Last tuesday I went to the hospital for surgery. The last one and a half years, I've been having an ear-infection. At some point my docter say I needed surgery and last tuesday was the big day.

Everyone has a few lumps of flesh that cover the entrance to the ear, but my lumps are... were so big they cut off air-circulation and thus all the water and soap from showering would infect my ears. They cut out 2 of the 3 lumps and stuck a tampon in my ear. Tomorrow I have to return to the hospital to get the tampon out and to see if all went well. Then in 3 weeks, my other ear will receive surgery.

Anyway, just wanted to let you all know that I was back. ^_^

At first, when I read your post, I thought "so he types with his ears?" =P Hey all the best! I hope it doesn't hurt badly. Well maybe this pain is a relief if you compare it to the infections of last year, it should be the very last ear pain :)

And Jam, tampons are one of the greatest inventions ever, so don't you dare make fun of them :x

Yeah i understand why a tampon, but a hospital using that? that seems like a "home-made fix" rather than something a hospital would use.

good to hear from you

I wish you all the bets Feebs, get well soon!

And did the tampon had a string on it? Seems mighty annoying to me, having such a string dangeling on the side of your head XD

you know I'm always the first to laugh at people and try to make humouristic remarks...
but if it's about diseases or physical problems...
...no thanks!

I personally hate it when people laugh at me, when I'm in pain or somethin , especiall the usual "don't be such a crybaby" remark, when you're really hurting.
especially my father, he even gets angry at me for saying that I'm in pain... (and usually it turns out to be something serious , like the throat infection I've got going on right now...)

no, I've had "just an ifection" before and indeed , that's nothings, but this shit, caughing up slimes with dark blood and stuff.
I've had a antibiotic shot already, and I have to take a big pill each day and check up with the dr. 3 times a week.(but I don't have to go to school for at least 2 weeks)

it's like swallowing knives, just to eat, so I'm stuck with a "squishy food and soup diet"
I can tell you it ain't tasty, plus I can't speak...wich is offcourse very pleasant...

so please, don't call me a pussy, it's not appreciated.
