Lefty writing

Post by keyguard123 » Thu Nov 19, 2009 4:14 am

Hi to all.
I have heard that the ancient people had belief that writing from left hand is sin or a bad sign of your character. I do not think so. What you think.

I don't think there's anyone who still believes that anymore. Really, if there were any people who still believed that to be true, you'd probably see them getting burned at the stake (figuratively, not literally, that is). I mean, with the knowledge that we have now, it's easy to see the mistakes that were made by those in the past. (For instance, the forcing of left-handed people to become primarily right-handed had some nasty side-effects, which you can read about here.)

Rather than that, you should focus more how left-handed people are treated/viewed in modern society. For instance, conveniences/inconveniences of life when most products are designed for right-handed people or things of that nature. I'm sure you can get a more interesting discussion out of that.

I believe that me being lefthanded is an obvious sign that i'm better than other people. That's why i picked a lefthanded girl and cut my paper with lefthand scissors. Because they're better than others.

I can also use my mouse and write at the same time. Can't write with a sharp ink pen cause it digs in the paper, unless it's hebrew. No problem with can openers or guns or boomerangs or measuring cups. No problem with multitasking.

I'm ambidextrous (having equal facility in the use of both hands). Does that count?

Does that mean that both the right and the left side of your brain are on the opposite side?

No, it means I'm better then you. ^_~

Actually, I'm more "Cross-dominance"; a motor skill manifestation where a person favors one hand for some tasks and the other hand for others. For example, a cross-dominant person might write with the right hand but throw primarily with the left.

ive been known to pound one out using the left hand. in the porn world we call that move "The Stranger". does that count for cross dominance?

Rabid youre hilarious.

I'm lefty and cross-dominant. I do random things with either hand. For example I throw everything right handed except a frisbee. I play pool left handed but ping-pong right handed. etc.

well ive done some extensive research on the subject. technically its both. either sitting on your hand till it goes numb or using a pinch hitter is an acceptable explanation of the term.

now that ive said my piece its off to my favourite hobby: the refinement of the art and the craft of drinking. chim chim charoo kids
