For those that celebrate it, what did you decide to give up this year?

its a religous day of the year when you give up something to show sacrifice in your life.
for instnace, you give up sex for a year.

Lent is the season that consists of the 40 days leading up to Easter. It's a Catholic holiday. Most people celebrate it by giving up something.

I, for example, gave up alcohol and became celibate.

If I had something to give up, I would, but if I gave up anything then I'd fall behind (or even farther behind on some things) and it'll take more time and effort than I can spend to get caught back up. Seriously, all I do when not eating or sleeping is just work, study and draw. Well, that and surf MWS, but as a mod it's not a wise idea to give up visiting the forums for lent.

Instead, I think it'll be a better idea just to resolve myself to studying harder during the lenten season so that I can (hopefully) get some good habits going. Or at least find a study method that works better for my learning style than what I'm currently doing.

indeed :)
I don't think the current generations of belgian people actually care about traditions anymore...
I know I don't...

if it weren't for the foreign people and the elderly, I think that the church itself wouldn't be used anymore :P
only thing it's good for is for people getting married or dead folks :P

as for me giving up something?
maybe I'll give up candy in a few years, but I'm still studying (me needs it!)
