I just watched FLCL

Post by Fritzsholyhands » Sun Sep 27, 2009 10:07 pm

It was amazing. I think there needs to be more anime that is off the wall like that.

Are there any anime that's similar to FLCL?

I'm new to anime. I never gave it a chance back in the day. Now I have a lot of catching up to do :P

I'll spare you the wall of text for now (Mainly 'cause I'm tied for time right now) and give a little list of similar stuff~

All of these gave me that "WTF?" feeling, to varying degrees.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Soul Eater

Bakemonogatari - Came out this season~ I'm still watching it
(on episode 11 or so). I think it's almost done/done, though.

Cromartie High School

Dokuro-chan~~~~ =^___________________________________^=

Paprika

BOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBOBO
HIP, PAWP, STEP, JAMP

Paranoia Agent

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei - Up to the third season currently. Still being subbed, iirc. I'm also still catching up on this one.

Yayyyyy, more stuff to watch!

*edit
Also, I think you were the one who recommended High School of the Dead. It's pretty intense, i like it a lot.

Thanks Sedystra!

"Excel Saga" is pretty off the wall but amusing to watch.

"The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi" is very good, but the Endless Eight saga in the second season is enough to drive you up the wall.

I definitely agree with Sedystra's suggestion of "Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei". It's a bit dark, but always amusing.

Also, if you haven't watched "Azumanga Daioh" yet, do it.

There's a second season?
Fucking win.

After I finished the first season, I completely forgot about this anime.
