Where are you now in life?

Where are you now in life? Currently I'm 34 years old. And I feel old. :-( Eventhough I still play video games. Kick ass with my Xbox 360 and PC (currently playing EVE and WarFrame). I have a 30 year old wife and a 10 month old daughter. I work at a communications agency making (mobile) websites and...

Re: pacific rim and elysium (and i guess hunger games)

I haven't seen any of those films yet. I did hear exceptional things about Pacific Rim though (specifically from a fan of the Neon Genesis series too). I refuse to watch Hunger Games because I already saw, and very much enjoyed, Battle Royale. I think they are far too similar, and I feel like I wou...

Re: pacific rim and elysium (and i guess hunger games)

I didn't see Pacific Rim yet, but the trailer reminded me too much of Neon Genesis Evangelion. The trailer of Elysium reminded me too much of Batlle Angle Alita. So they both moved way down on my list of to see movies. I did see The Hunger Games with my wife (because she wanted to see it) and it was...

Re: Ideas

Ceta, I'm not that familiar with Japanese culture, but in The Netherlands, most successful (comic) artists are the ones that draw for newspapers. They take one of the main stories of that day (or yesterday) and turn that into a comic. So actually the news is their inspiration. And there is news ever...

Re: Looking for Artist/co-writer . Soul Sunder

Thanks for all the info. Sounds like you have everything under control and planned out. =D> When most first time writers and manga artists start, they have this idea of a 300 page trilogy or a 100 piece manga book series, when in reality they never finished a single 4 page story of 4 page manga. I a...

Re: whoa whoa

Unfortunately, they didn't stay away. But I check every day, once in the morning and once at night, deleting all spammers. Also, they need to verify by mail, so I know their email address is real. When I ban them, they also receive an email about their banning. Hopefully they stop at some point.

Re: whoa whoa

First I closed the registration. Then I deleted all the users and posts. Then I upgraded the security. And now let's hope they stay away.

Re: Why all the spam?

Since I cleaned up the place and I decided to do a mailing, I got 299 bounches (emailaddress does not exist anymore) and 3 unsubscribes. T_T Checking these people with the main site, I deleted another 39 people. Mangaworkshop is a lot cleaner, but lost 302 members. A well, some of them hadn't been o...

Re: Why all the spam?

Thanks. ^_^

But most of the hard work at this website is done by Ceta. I hope he can get online soon. He was switch internet providers and from what I heard it is really hard to do so in Japan.

Re: Looking for Artist/co-writer . Soul Sunder

Can I ask you some questions about your approach in general? How many pages does the book have now / will have when it's finished? Will it be a paper book or a PDF / e-book? What is your target audience? The reason I ask, is that many people underestimate writing a book / drawing a manga. I'm not sa...
