Your human drawings are pretty good for not having much experience drawing. and the pose on the most recent is nice. If you are interested in getting better, head over to the resources sticky: http://mangaworkshop.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1653 . It has a list of places around the net that have tut...

Thank you major. I am working on controlling my lines. As for the portrait. I was planning on doing the background too, but the picture I chose to draw had a monotone wall behind her, so drawing it in that instance wouldn't have helped, but I do get what you're saying. We'll see how I do the next ti...

now, as for this new picture, i'm not sure what those circles on his face are. freckles? Sure are freckles. and his right arm looks like it's just hanging down and then someone else's hand is coming out of nowhere and grabbing his knee. other than that, it's not bad. i especially like the vest. the...

a random ninja Posted: sounds like an answer to me. That's fine, i didn't say it wasn't an answer, i said that it: a. was all but helpful(1 million hours ~114 years) and b. was not advice. unless of course someone is suggesting that TRS has been around for several hundred years. I think it's odd th...

a random ninja wrote: what's with the attitude? he was just pointing something out. there's no reason to get snippy about it. I was asking for advice on how to improve my art -- instead I get told it would take me an astronomical number of hours to hope for achieving something that good because a p...

It's been a while.
I was browsing through some artwork and found a bunch of painting looking artwork. I wished I could do it but wasn't motivated enough to even try until I was looking at some of my favored MWS member's profiles and came across this one: http://mangaworkshop.net/show.pl?imageid=26189 I've spent severa...

A wise, old owl once told me... "If you're an amateur artist asking for supply suggestions, try my approach: a Sharpie marker and a napkin. I say this to stress that it's not WHAT you use to draw, but that you're actually drawing. Now, next time you're in Asel Art supplies ask yourself...couldn't I...

some people just scan their pencils in and darken them with a program. I don't do that, my sketches are much too messy. That's my problem and the reason I asked about programs too. But isn't there a style what you can aim for. What kind of manga/anime do you like the most? I like Hayao Miyazaki, Ak...

Looking good. definately a major improvement from the original sketch. YOu might want to allign her teeth as well... because she appears to have a centered tooth in her mouth. the lower lip seems to be missalligned with the rest of the face, and you should see one more tooth on the right side(her po...
